Ancient fishing village is today the most important seaside resort in the area. On the Piazza Vittorio Emanuele III, the main square of Memphis, one of the most beautiful in Sicily, stands majestically Pignatelli Palace, built in 1638 at the behest of Tagliavia Diego Aragona Pignatelli, Prince of Castelvetrano and founder of Memphis. The palace, home of the feudal lords of "land" of Memphis, alongside the castle tower of Burgiomilluso, occupying the area of the old medieval castle itself was built on the ruins of an older building complex owned by the installation of Islamic Burgiomilluso. Ravidà The palace is considered among the most imposing neoclassical buildings of the province of Agrigento. The elegant building, overlooking a courtyard of the historic center of Memphis, which is the backdrop to Imbornone street, was built around the last quarter of the eighteenth century by the family Ravid Ferrantelli as a summer residence. The facade, enclosed in a courtyard mosaic floor from a river cobbles, focuses on a porch formed by four Doric columns surmounted by capitals, placed on a large flight of steps that support an elegant entablature with alternating triglyphs and metopes. Entablature above the turret, with three arches on each side interposed by pilasters and covered with a terrace surrounded by a balcony punctuated by pillars. The interior of the building is a series of splendid rooms, originally paved with precious tiles from Santo Stefano di Camastra, some of them you can still admire the original paintings of the time, typically neoclassical consists of floral and animal motifs.
Built around 1650 with three naves, partially destroyed by the earthquake of 1968 is now rebuilt by architect Vittorio Gregotti. Inside are preserved the ruins of the ancient church and some fine works of art such as the wooden statue of St. Anthony of Padua by the seventeenth century in which the church and dedicated group of sculptures of the Virgin of the Rosary with Saints Catherine and Dominic century. Built in 1715, has a facade decorated with inlays and pilasters, and a unique rectangular belfry. The single nave interior preserves important works of art including the polychrome wooden statue of St Joseph by the seventeenth century, the wooden statue of "Saint Lucia" probably by the workshop of Filippo Quattrocchi and a "Holy Family "work of nineteenth-century painter Marco Caricchia.
Rebuilt on an older church around 1813, it houses a beautiful altarpiece of "The Lamentation over the Dead Christ" painted by Mariano Rossi in the eighteenth century and a wooden statue of the Virgin of Sorrows, "by nineteenth-century sculptor Agrigento Calogero Cardella.
Already dedicated to St. Anthony is now dedicated to Our Lady of Consolation, whose nineteenth-century wooden statue is kept on the altar instead of a more ancient painting of the souls in purgatory now lost. Of great artistic importance are a series of paintings by contemporary master Gianbecchina.
Topped by a clock tower house is now back to its former splendor thanks to a recent restoration. Inside it preserves part of a nineteenth-century canvas painted by Joseph Sabella saccense modeled after a painting by the famous master Mariano Rossi.
At the headquarters of the Institution cultural Frederick II of Memphis is on permanent display an important collection Malacology. This is a collection that contains almost 5,000 copies and unique in southern Italy: 1,700 seashells from around the world and choices between the most representative is on display in three rooms dedicated to many great Malacology worldwide fame.

The "Waiver" is the core business, the heart of technology, production, administrative, historical and family Planeta. Located in the homonymous in the city of Menfi, there are two of the five cellars, a themed library, administration, and a rural farm with family housing. The small winery came into production in 2001, and is dedicated to the production of cru red wines, Merlot, Syrah and Petrini. The winery has a total capacity of 4000 hl, and a separate bottling line. On the floor below has been made of the premises for storing wine in wood, the total capacity of 1500 barrels. Founded in 1995, is the first winery Planeta family. Located on the banks of lago Arancio, near the town of Sambuca di Sicilia, surrounded by vineyards and an olive grove. The architectural style is respectful of the land and traditions. Inside at ground level, are the fermentation tanks, while the underlying barrel aging takes place the best selection of Chardonnay and Fiano. The total capacity is about 1200 barrels. The cellar is entirely specialized in the production and refinement of white wines, Alastro, Comet and Chardonnay. For the harmonious placement particularly happy, and for the beam near the 500, the winery is dell'Ulmo, the five cellars of Planeta, one more visit.
